Continuation of this little project to integrate a GNSS antenna onto the QMX+ cover.

I unsoldered the ceramic antenna shield, and removed the original cable. Then I cut the coaxial cable with two SMA connectors that I'd bought for the occasion (link below), making sure that one of the lengths corresponded to the distance between the antenna and the connector on the back of the transceiver. Then it's a simple matter of stripping the cable, soldering it, testing it successfully, and putting the shield back in place with 4 soldering points.

The antenna is glued with double-sided adhesive to the inside of its housing from the top, but not the bottom on the case to avoid problems when I would remove the frame.

The next step will be to make a deeper rear frame to protect the connectors, and especially the GNSS SMA, which I intend to leave permanently screwed in place.
