QMX+

This project may have gone too far.

Following my little assembly to integrate the GNSS antenna on top of my QMX+, I thought I'd go a step further and create a sort of case for the threaded rods that connect the front and rear. Then I thought it would be desirable to put additional supports along the length of the case.

Finally, I arrived at what's pictured. The case is almost invisible under the layers of PLA :-)

In my quest for compactness, I wanted to get rid of the external speaker and even the earphones when I use the QMX+ to work FT8. Of course the idea is to use an internal speaker.

Continuation of this little project to integrate a GNSS antenna onto the QMX+ cover.

The QMX+ is very compact, but we can do more! The GNSS module is bundled with a external GNSS antenna with a looooong wire. This is fine when operating from inside a house (the antenna can be put near a window, or even out of a window) but for mobile operations, this is too much wire.
